I’m 25. Yep. It happened- I couldn’t even stop it. I’ve been like super reflective about this age. What am I doing in my life? Is it the right thing? Who am I? How long before my body turns to scales? Stuff like that.
Since I’ll have the whole year to ask myself those questions, I spent my birthday weekend celebrating. I took Friday off from work and went to lunch with my mom at Fred’s in Barney’s. Then I checked out the recently opened Chicago TOPSHOP.
Friday evening, I had a delicious meal with a group of girlfriends and my sister at Prasino in Wicker Park and then headed back to my apartment for a party themed “OktoberFitz.” It was a lot of fun. My mom put together some great boards with pictures of me throughout the years and had my friends and I out to the suburbs for a spread of appetizers Saturday.
Left no time for quarter life crisis questions.
I’d like to wish my family dog Alice a Happy 11th Birthday! Even though we don’t get along sometimes because she’s kind of OCD and temperamental - I love her for her sass and appreciation of organic baby carrots.
Happy Birthday to my main lady Mae West! She would be 118 today. If you haven’t seen at least three Mae West films - I feel sorry for you.
One day soon I will have a video to post of a sketch that I wrote with my friends for our sketch group Astronaut Theatre. I play Mae West. That’s all I can tell you.
